Para mi, una estrella mediatica que da alas a RB no me parece que diga, "tiene talento pero tiene que evolucionar como piloto" a mi me suena a esta ahi por intereses de marketing, justo lo que se dijo cuando entro con 17 años, que lo metían por lo exótico y lo mediático de su edad... Lo de Heineken por ahi... todavia no se de que va, pero no me parece positivo...

Pues Alonso ha explicado a la perfeccion la actuacion de Max en Spa y a algunos le va a molestar la explicacion con el reglamento en la mano.

Supongo que no sera una voz cualificada para ello.

Fernando Alonso has explained why Max Verstappen's controversial defensive driving against Kimi Raikkonen in the recent Belgian Grand Prix was within the Formula 1 regulations.

Red Bull driver Verstappen's change of line at high speed along the Kemmel Straight to block Raikkonen's Ferrari drew criticism from the Finn in the latest incident to put the teenager's on-track behaviour in the spotlight.

Raikkonen claimed if he had not braked there would have been "a massive accident", which he feels will "happen sooner or later" if Verstappen fails to change his ways.

When asked about Verstappen's behaviour at Spa, Alonso told reporters: "In the middle of the straight you are allowed to do one move as long as the other one is not alongside you, so everything fits.

"Regarding Max, on the long straight, I don't think Kimi was side by side. It was very late and maybe he didn't judge where Kimi was, but Kimi was still behind. The rule, as written, is still good."

Article 27.7 of the sporting regulations states: "Any driver defending his position on a straight, and before any braking area, may use the full width of the track during his first move, provided no significant portion of the car attempting to pass is alongside his.

"Whilst defending in this way the driver may not leave the track without justifiable reason. For the avoidance of doubt, if any part of the front wing of the car attempting to pass is alongside the rear wheel of the car in front this will be deemed to be a 'significant portion'."

Asked whether the rule was clear enough, and whether Verstappen's move was OK, double world champion Alonso said: "I think it's clear, this one."

The rules, however, do not take into account the speed differential of the cars, which was particularly high at Spa due to the Kemmel Straight being part of a DRS zone.

Alonso added: "I remember being at Minardi in 2001 and the speed difference being even bigger when Michael [Schumacher] was coming. This is F1."

Verstappen, however, continues to be criticised for his moves in the braking zone, where again there is no definitive regulation, but effectively an unwritten code of conduct between the drivers.

"We cannot confuse the fans about two very different incidents: one on the middle of the straight, like Verstappen and Kimi, or in braking areas like me in Australia [when he crashed into the back of Haas's Esteban Gutierrez]," said Alonso.

"But I probably misjudged the braking point so it was bigger.

"Or again with Max and Kimi in Hungary where I felt Max was moving under braking a lot into Turn 2, and he was way too aggressive.

"We spoke about it in Germany in the drivers' briefing.

"All the drivers were not happy with Max in Hungary because it was under braking at Turn 2."

Viene a decir que Kimi en ningun momento esta "side by side_" con Max y que aunque Max espero mucho para hacer ese unico movimiento, la normativa no especifica en que momento puedes o no hacer ese movimiento defensivo mientras estes en la recta. Que otra cosa es en una zona de frenada pero que no era el caso. Por tanto para Alonso ese movimiento es legal porque Kimi no se pone en ningun momento al lado de Verstappen sino que en todo momento esta detras.

Max Verstappen volvió a acaparar todas las portadas en el Gran Premio de Bélgica por sus maniobras de defensa frente a Kimi Räikkönen. Mientras que algunos pilotos critican con dureza el estilo de conducción del neerlandés, otros alaban su talento.
Durante la rueda de prensa previa al Gran Premio de Italia, los pilotos mostraron su descontento con respecto al trabajo de los comisarios en pista. En Spa y Hungría, Verstappen protagonizó dos momentos muy cuestionados, tanto fuera como dentro del paddock. No obstante, los comisarios de la pista en ese momento no sancionaron al neerlandés mostrando así la falta de imparcialidad frente a otros pilotos.
Hülkenberg: "[Max] tiene arte para moverse exactamente en el momento perfecto"

Algunos pilotos como Lewis Hamilton o Nico Hülkenberg han preferido no cuestionar el trabajo del joven piloto de Red Bull, pero sí felicitarle por su agilidad y talento en la pista. "Es un piloto muy rápido y que ya ha demostrado que puede ganar carreras. Tiene 18 años y la mayoría de nosotros también hicimos cosas estúpidas con 18 años. Pero también veo un piloto con un talento excepcional", comenta Hamilton. Mientras, Hülkenberg señala: "Tiene arte para moverse exactamente en el momento perfecto. Cuando funciona, sólo puedo darle una palmada en la espalda".
Por su parte, Fernando Alonso no ve ninguna acción reprobable en Spa, aunque sí en Hungría. "Para mí, en Bélgica, estuvo bien, pero lo que sucedió en Hungría no. Fue un movimiento tardío [en Spa] y tal vez a Max no le dio tiempo de evaluar la posición de Kimi, pero en ese momento Kimi iba detrás así que para mí está bien".
Nico Rosberg tampoco quiere entrar al trapo con los medios, aunque cree que deberían discutir acerca del tema dada la diversidad de opiniones. "Tenemos que discutirlo a fondo, ya que no todos compartimos la misma opinión", sentencia el alemán.
